Here is the weekly report about Phoenix College alumni who play pro basketball. Currently there are 4 active former Bears, who continue their career after graduation (only in active leagues, there may be some others who currently do not play as their leagues have not started yet).

We bring you last week's top former Bears players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Steven Green (6'5''-F-1993, played in 2013-15, plays pro in Japan) could not help Niigata Albirex (5-26) in their game last Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the eighth-placed Niigata Albirex (5-26) was defeated 88-75 on the road by the leading Yokohama BC in the Central group. Green was the second best scorer with 16 points (made all of his five free throws) in 20 minutes. It's Green's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 13.9ppg, 3.7rpg and 2.3apg.
#2. Brandon Brown (5'11''-PG-1991, played in 2013-15, plays in Lithuania) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Juventus (11-5) in their last game. Despite his good performance Juventus lost 81-86 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Wolves. Brown was the second best scorer with 10 points. He also added 3 passes. It was his first game for Juventus this season. It was Juventus' first loss after eight consecutive victories.
#3. Derreck Brooks Jr. (6'6''-G-1994, played in 2013-14, currently in Sweden) was the major contributor in Nassjo's victory against the closely-ranked Umea (14-7) crushing them 85-64 in the Swedish Basketligan last Friday. He recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in 39 minutes. KFUM Nassjo Basket (10-9) is placed sixth in the Basketligan. It's Brooks Jr.'s first season with the team. Brooks Jr. has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 15.6ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.1apg and 1.1spg.
#4. Experienced Ira Brown (6'4''-F-1982, played in 2005-07, plays pro in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for Osaka Evessa (14-17) in their game against Akita NH (16-15) in the Japanese B1 League, despite his good performance last Saturday. He scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. But the sixth-placed Osaka Evessa (14-17) lost 79-85 in Akita to the higher-ranked (#4) Akita NH in the West group. It was Osaka Evessa's third consecutive loss in a row. It's Brown's fourth season with the team. This year Brown averages 9.6ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.6apg and 1.3spg in 31 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Japanese.
