Phoenix College Women’s Soccer Plays to 2–2 Draw vs. No. 8 Pima

In a tightly contested matchup at Aztec Field, No. 6 Phoenix College and No. 8 Pima Community College battled to a 2–2 draw. The Bears struck first but were unable to hold the lead, as Pima fought back late to even the score.

Phoenix drew first blood in the 2nd minute when Carmen Coronado, assisted by Katarina Flores, found the back of the net. Pima responded in the 10th minute via a finish from Ava Dagnino to tie the match at 1–1.

In the second half, Coronado again gave Phoenix the lead with an unassisted goal in the 51st minute, pushing the Bears ahead 2–1. But Pima answered in the 70th minute, when Gabriela Mendoza converted a feed from Ashley Martinez, sending the match to a 2–2 final.

Phoenix College outshot Pima 12–11, with 10 shots on goal compared to Pima's 5. Goalkeeper Bijou Holm made nine saves to keep the Bears in the game.
