The Phoenix College Women's Basketball team secured a key 77-51 victory against South Mountain Community College, improving their overall record to 9-10 and their conference record to 3-5.
Game Highlights:
Phoenix College displayed an efficient offensive effort, shooting 47.8% from the field, compared to South Mountain's 30.6%. The Bears also dominated the boards, out-rebounding South Mountain 45-38 and demonstrating a strong defensive presence with 14 steals.
- Nivea Campbell led the charge scoring 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. She contributed across the board with 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
- Mya Ruiz added 17 points, fueled by her sharp 5-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc.
- Daiana Hollman was a force off the bench, contributing 17 points and 7 rebounds while shooting an efficient 8-of-11 from the field.
- Majaya Broadnax controlled the glass with a game-high 12 rebounds and added 8 points.
South Mountain struggled offensively, shooting just 27.3% from three and 43.8% from the free-throw line.

Phoenix College will face Scottsdale Community College in their next matchup, a pivotal game as they aim to climb the conference standings. With only one game separating the teams, the Bears have a chance to gain critical ground in the race for playoff positioning.
