Bears Back in the Win Column with 4–0 Victory Over Chandler-Gilbert

Phoenix, Ariz. – The Phoenix College women's soccer team rebounded in a big way on Saturday evening, defeating Chandler-Gilbert Community College 4–0 at home to improve to 4-1-2 overall and 4-0-1 in ACCAC play.

The Bears wasted no time getting on the board, as Yaritza Duncan scored just 54 seconds into the match off an assist from Amaya Hernandez. Jazmin Mayo-Gerado extended the lead in the 34th minute, finishing a pass from Sarahi Delgadillo to make it 2–0 at halftime.

In the second half, Hernandez added an unassisted goal in the 53rd minute, and Delgadillo capped the scoring in the 81st minute with help from Riley Mahnke.

Phoenix College dominated statistically, outshooting the Coyotes 28–4, including 21 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Bijou Holm recorded two saves for her first clean sheet of the season.

With the victory, the Bears bounce back after their setback to Cochise College and now embark on a seven-game road stretch, beginning at Mesa Community College on September 23 at 5:45 p.m.
