We bring you last week's top former Bears players who are currently playing in pro basketball.


   #1. Derreck Brooks Jr. (6'6''-G-1994, played in 2013-14, plays pro in Austria) led Unger Steel Gunners Oberwart to a victory over the second-ranked Gmunden Swans (23-9) 82-76 in the Austrian BSL in Tuesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Brooks Jr. scored 25 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 32 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 7-12. Unger Steel Gunners Oberwart (12-6) is placed first. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Brooks Jr.'s first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 12.0ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.5apg and 1.4spg in 20 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Ira Brown (6'4''-F-1982, played in 2005-07, plays in Japan) could not help Chiba Jets (34-22) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance the third-placed Chiba Jets (34-22) were defeated 78-67 on the road by the second-ranked Alvark Tokyo in the East group. Brown recorded 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Brown averages 7.3ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.4apg. He is a naturalized Japanese.
