
Phoenix, Ariz. – The Phoenix College Men's Soccer team remains atop the NJCAA Division II Men's Soccer rankings for the second week in a row. The Bears are off to a dominant 3-0 start to the 2025-26 season, including a 1-0 record in conference play.
Last week, Phoenix College made a statement with a commanding 3-0 victory over No. 4-ranked Pima Community College at Hoy Stadium. The win solidified the Bears' position as the top team in the nation and extended their unbeaten streak to three matches.
Phoenix College has outscored opponents 11-3 across its first three matches, highlighted by standout performances from Connor Kane (3 goals, 1 assist), Fredy Alvarez (2 goals, 2 assists), and Cruzeiro Cruz (2 goals, 1 assist). Goalkeeper Jan Villegas has anchored the defense, posting a .833 save percentage and a 0.75 goals-against average with one shutout.
The Bears will look to extend their perfect start tonight as they host Gateway Community College at Hoy Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
