David Cameron enters his 20th season as Head Coach at Phoenix College. Coach Cameron has led the Bears to three straight Region 1 Titles and is currently the winningest men’s soccer coach in Maricopa County History with 243 wins. Coach Cameron has been listed as coach of the year 8 times with the most prestigious honor in 2022 when Cameron was named National Coach of the year. Cameron has led the Bears to 4 straight national tournament appearances finishing in the final 4 in 2022 and the Championship Game in 2023. Cameron has transferred 89 student athletes to the University securing over 3.1 million dollars in scholarships. A native of the valley, Cameron attended Shadow Mt. High School where he is now listed in the
Hall of Fame. After high school Cameron attended Phoenix College where he was named 1st Team All-American and earned Player of the Year honors his freshman and sophomore years. After leaving Phoenix College, Coach Cameron attended Loyola Marymount University to play Division 1. At Loyola, Cameron broke the single season scoring record and was named 2nd team All-Conference. Professionally, Cameron played for the WSL Arizona Thunder from 1998-2000 and for CISL Arizona Sandsharks in 1997. Cameron has also played for the Tucson Fireballs 2000 and the Arizona Sahuaros 2001 and 2002. Cameron holds a degree in Exercise Science & Physical Education and holds his National C License. Along with his wife, Cameron has two daughters & two sons. They currently reside in Avondale, Arizona.
