Bears Track and Field Achieves Personal Bests at Willie Williams Invitational
Saturday in Tucson, U of Arizona hosted the Willie Williams Track and Field Invitational.  We competed against more than twenty teams from New Mexico, California and others across the southwest.

Nadia Alvarez and Sofia Miranda both ran lifetime best times in the 1500 meters for the ladies, as did Matt Sagaste for the men.  Damian Tavena ran the double, 800 meters and 1500 meters, and threw down the team best for each event.  In the 5000 meters, Alfonso Hernandez also ran a lifetime best!!

Ian Fairley knocked another .06 seconds off his lifetime best in the 400 meter, but what may be the highlight of the day for the Bears was Syncere Washington's 10.92 lifetime best in the 100 meters!!
