In a dynamic start to the 2024 season, Phoenix College Softball secured a doubleheader victory against Park University Gilbert. Penelope Hurtado, Mackenzie Phillips, and Riley Martens shone brightly, each contributing with powerful home runs during the series against Park, setting an exciting tone for the season.

However, the No. 3 ranked Bears faced challenges in the doubleheader against NAIA opponent Ottawa University, losing both games. Despite the adversity, the Bears demonstrated resilience and determination on the field.
