
In the opening game of the NJCAA Region I Division II Tournament, the top-seeded Phoenix College softball team defeated fourth-seeded Scottsdale, 10-1 in five innings. Phoenix College tallied 10 hits, including four home runs, to secure the win.
Following their victory, the Bears are set to take on Chandler-Gilbert in the second game of the tournament. Chandler-Gilbert beat South Mountain, winning 12-7 in the tournament's opening game earlier today.

- Asia Jones contributed 2 runs, 1 hit, 2 RBIs, and a homerun
- Katie Hofmann recorded 2 hits, 3 RBIs, and a homerun,
- Danitza Hernandez added 2 hits and 2 RBIs, including a home run.
- Cheyenne Ben also hit a home run and drove in 2 runs.
