Phoenix College Softball has earned the No. 6 ranking in the NJCAA Division II Week 3 national poll

The Phoenix College softball team is off to an impressive start this season, boasting a 25-3 overall record and a strong 14-2 record in conference play. The team has been dominant at home, winning 17 of 18 games, while also maintaining a solid presence on the road with a 7-1 away record.

Offensively, the Bears have been a powerhouse, scoring 262 runs across 28 games and maintaining an outstanding .411 team batting average. Their on-base percentage sits at .482, while their slugging percentage is an impressive .665. The team has also showcased its power, hitting 47 home runs so far this season.

Several players have been standouts at the plate, including freshman J'kaia' Graves, who leads the team with a .489 batting average, and sophomore Katie Hofmann, who has been a key run producer with 10 home runs and 53 RBIs. Harli Noriega and Hannah Hill have also made significant contributions, combining for 13 home runs and over 40 RBIs.

On the pitching side, Maddison Peter and Yasmine Bernal have been reliable in the circle, each posting 12 wins. The Bears' pitching staff holds a 2.92 ERA and has struck out 155 batters while limiting opponents to a .230 batting average.

Defensively, the team has been solid with a .946 fielding percentage, turning key double plays and limiting errors throughout the season.

With their strong performance, Phoenix College has earned the No. 6 ranking in the NJCAA Division II Week 3 national poll. The Bears look to continue their winning momentum as they push toward the postseason.
