Phoenix College Softball Dominates with Strong Rankings and Standout Performances

Phoenix College Softball is having a phenomenal season, currently ranked No. 5 in the NJCAA Week 4 poll with an impressive 31-3 overall record (.912 winning percentage) and 18-2 in conference play (.900). The team has been dominant both at home (21-1) and on the road (9-1), riding an 11-game winning streak as they continue their march toward postseason success.

Offensive Firepower

The Bears' lineup is packed with talent, consistently producing big numbers:

  • Batting Leaders: J'kaia' Graves (.527 BA) and Katie Hofmann (.500 BA) rank among the best hitters in the conference.
  • Run Production: Hofmann leads the league with 63 RBIs, while Harli Noriega is third with 42.
  • Power Hitters: Noriega has launched 13 home runs, tied for the conference lead, with Hofmann (11) and Mackenzie Phillips (9) adding to the team's impressive slugging.
  • Speed on the Bases: Graves is a force on the basepaths with 47 stolen bases, leading all players. Teammates Kyla Kim (20 SB) and Olivia Deford (18 SB) keep the pressure on opposing defenses.

The Bears' pitching staff has been just as dominant, holding opponents in check all season:

  • Wins Leader: Maddison Peter leads the conference with 15 wins, followed closely by Yasmine Bernal with 14 wins.
