Women's Soccer holds No. 1 in latest NJCAA Women's Soccer polls

In this week's NJCAA women's soccer rankings, the Women's soccer team maintains their coveted number 1 position. Their remarkable performance, characterized by five consecutive shutout wins, is a testament to the outstanding skills of goalkeepers Morgan Trail and Irma Palominos. These two athletes have been nothing short of exceptional, contributing significantly to the team's continued dominance.

Notably, the team secured two important victories against Mesa and a significant win over their longtime rival, Pima. These wins have not only solidified their top-ranking status but have also showcased their determination and ability to thrive under pressure. Leading the charge in goal-scoring, Jocelyn Chavez and Monica Garcia have both notched an impressive 6 goals each, demonstrating their offensive prowess.

Furthermore, the return of Justice Smith from injury is a promising development for the Bears, as they aim to maintain their momentum and secure more victories. Coach Sagar has played a crucial role in guiding his team, instilling in them the mantra of "it's our time" for this year.

The Bears have been in the No. 1 spot in the ranking since the preseason polls were released back in August.
