Women's Soccer earns No. 4 seed in NJCAA National Tournament

The Phoenix College Bears women's soccer team, seeded fourth in the NJCAA national tournament, is headed to Huntsville, Alabama, with one mission in mind: to keep the even-year championship streak alive. Winning it all in 2020 and 2022, the Bears are poised for another title run and aim to reclaim the title against a field of fierce competitors.

They kick off pool play in Pool D against No. 5-seed Holmes Community College on November 17 at 4:45 p.m. CST, a familiar opponent who was the runner-up in each of Phoenix's recent championship victories. Holmes returns this year with an at-large bid, ready for another shot at the title, as does Schoolcraft College, another Pool D opponent. The Bears face Schoolcraft on November 19 at 4:45 p.m. CST.

Freshman standouts Giselle German and Carmen Coronado have been crucial in driving Phoenix's dynamic season, and their combined efforts will be pivotal as the Bears push for another national title. With fierce determination, they're focused on extending the Bears' title-winning trend into 2024.

2024 NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Championship week takes place November 17-23. John Hunt Park & Joe Davis Stadium | Hunstville, Alabama
