Coach K has coached recreational club and scholastic volleyball with Chandler-Gilbert YMCAs, Club Mana, Campo Verde High School, Central High School, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, McClintock High School, and most recently with Arizona Storm Elite as skills and clinics instructor. Prior to and during COVID-19 pandemic, he rebuilt and led Central High School to two consecutive 5A region conference championships, as well as their first state playoff showing in 20 years with the team’s collective GPA above 3.75 the entire season. Through the uncertainty and under the constraints of the pandemic, Coach K also co-garnered all-conference coach of the year. But his greatest successes during this time was ensuring many of his players were recognized with all-conference and all-state awards, and most notably assisting five of his players to receive recruitment scholarships for post-high school education. With a long-term desire to advance his skills and knowledge, he joined the Chandler-Gilbert CC team assisting with outside hitting and defense. Now Coach K will try to replicate the same success at Phoenix College by bringing his experience and passion to help build this program.
