Your Bears Cross Country team competed at Arizona Christian University's Firestorm Classic this past Friday. NAIA teams and NJCAA teams were among teams on the startling line.
The Lady Bears had our five scorers all finish the 4k course in the top twenty-five led by Evelyn Osornio and Vanessa Gurrola who were seventh and tenth respectively and saw their first podium spots of the season!! The ladies finished second overall behind only the host team; an NAIA school.
As for the men, Yomar Vega Borquez led our sleuth of Bears with our first four finishing the 6k course only sixty seconds apart. The fellas also finished second overall!!
Our next competition is the ACCAC Championships at Heroes Park in Glendale, AZ. Ten teams will toe-the-line Friday morning September 27th at 8:00 a.m. for the annual championship competition!!
