Title: Head Coach
Email: alex.ramirez@phoenixcollege.edu

Sports have been a significant part of Coach Ramirez's life ever since he was introduced to soccer in elementary school. From a young age, he learned that hard work, dedication, and patience are essential for success, not just in sports but in all aspects of life. These values have consistently guided him throughout every sport and coaching role he has undertaken.

Since 2004, Ramirez has been committed to the field of education, where he focused on guiding student-athletes not only academically but also in their everyday lives. As a Phoenix College Bear alum and a graduate of Grand Canyon University, Ramirez is deeply connected to the local community and can relate to the local talent. His passion for coaching is rooted in helping students understand the importance of being well-rounded individuals.

Ramirez began his coaching career in 2005 with middle school basketball while still in college. This experience opened doors for him to coach football and volleyball at the high school level, both in private and public sectors. He has served as co-head volleyball coach at Central High School and later took on the role of head volleyball coach at Washington High School. During these years, Ramirez also founded Beauty to Beast, a club volleyball team for inner-city girls.

"Now, as the head volleyball coach at Phoenix College, I am excited to work with the talented coaching staff to help our student-athletes thrive, both on the court and in the classroom"
